If This Doesn't Make You Wanna Write

I just spent some late-night, insomniated hours working on the outline for my book (aren't you supposed to do these things before you actually start writing and not when you're on page 280-something?) Then I started clicking here and there and found an article about "cultural gatekeepers in the literary world." My favorite quote:

That’s not to say that we don’t make mistakes, but at least we vet the writing first, and thus we are trusted by large houses and thus most large houses have a no-unsolicited-manuscripts policy.”
