Knitting Music
Last night I went to a place called the Knitting Factory and saw a woman named Nanette Natal and her band perform. It was jazzy. I liked the atmosphere. There were only about 50 people in the very small room. It had character. After that, I went to a place called Crazy Nanny's. The journey to Ms. Nanny's was about an hour in length. It was a combination of a little walking in the rain, taking the train, and walking a little more in the rain. But we finally made it, rain soaked and ready to dance. The "we" consists of myself, a woman named Cornelia and another woman named Caterina (which is my name in German, by the way). Both women are from Germany, both are Fulbright scholars and I have each of them in one of my classes. It was fun. I got home at four. The bars close at four here. It's a wonderful thing if you're having a good time. The weather's been interesting. Last night/this morning walking around in the rain, it felt like it was about 80 degrees. It seemed to have gotten hotter as it got later. Tonight, though, it was chilly. So, last night it was a good thing I was wearing jeans and had a jacket. And it was an especially good thing that today I was in shorts and a short-sleeve shirt. Maybe I'll figure it out one day. And maybe I won't. Well, as it's going on 2:30 a.m., I think I should go to sleep. I hope this is still a little interesting for everyone. I fear I'm going to lose my readership.
