Old New Friends

I did some good catching up with two people tonight, which bookended a pretty good day. Mary and I met at my school this morning and she wanted me to show her around. Then we went to Cosi, a place I hadn't been to in a while, and we talked for a couple of hours. It was great. Work was all right. I laughed. And made fun of my favorite Russian co-worker. Apparently she has a mouth on her now that didn't exist before I started working there. It's good to know I'm influential. After work, I enjoyed some significant face time with Katharina, which was great, too. She's going to be an academic superstar, having been accepted to CUNY's anthro program fully funded. I asked her if she would be willing to read my paper from last semester on post-structuralism to let me know if I can salvage any of it for my thesis. It'd be nice if she came back to me with "your argument is perfect; go for it." I'd have another 13 pages right there. I had an epiphany or two, as well today, as I am enjoying my new addiction with my journal. I'm not going into it now, but I may later. And I may not identify it as an epiphany. I also signed up with Monster.com. My official job search will begin on Sunday. To find a gig to begin near the beginning of August would be ideal, so I can play this summer. So that's my goal. And, uh, that's all I got. No stories to regale you with; no anger to express. Just me at 1 a.m. about ready to fall into bed.
