Pizza Crisis
I thought I was going to lose my teeth a few weeks back when I went into a place here in Brisbane called something like NY Pizza. And now I know that the people in Brooklyn have nothing to complain about.
I practically rushed in, almost knocking over aluminum chairs and messy toddlers, eager to buy a couple of slices. My mouth had been watering for a slice of Hawaiian and a slice of regular old pepperoni. My tastes are neither picky or extravagant. It wasn't until I was halfway through the list when Meredith said, "look at the prices."
$7 a slice. Upwards of $20 for an entire pie. Seven bloody dollars for one slice of pizza! We left. And I'm still craving it.
