Rained In

I had no idea it was like this in NYC.

I'm sitting in my room, quite late I might add, listening to the rain fall. And it's not like that sprinkle-type rain that you can pretty much handle without an umbrella. It's the kind that drenches you on a quick walk to take out the trash; the kind that makes you think that, when you wake up in the morning, there will be floods; the kind that makes you wonder "how can there be so much water?"

So, yes, it's pouring down rain. I had planned on exploring Prospect Park today. The Brooklyn Museum of Art is just on the other side of the park so I was going to wander over there, as well. But alas, I remained indoors until a quick reprieve of the rainfall, at which time I scooted on over to Lorena's house to wish her well on her summer trip. This was my Saturday. Some of you may remember, or at least know of, my friend Stephanie. Well, she arrives on Wednesday for two months. Yes, I'm going to have a house guest. She and I have never lived together, just like I haven't lived with most of my friends. It should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.
