The Story of The Hopping Blog

It's a short one. Regular readers will notice that I have changed my blogging platform a couple of times this year. I started out on Blogger years ago. Then it got bought by Google. I stayed.

Then Wordpress made Wordpress easy. I changed again. Then I would gradually discover that Wordpress doesn't allow JavaScript -- you know, because I actually know what JavaScript is. What I do know is that it wouldn't allow me to display things like my LibraryThing library or have Google ads or be an Amazon Associate (because I could make so much money off those things). And all the while, Blogger had these little gadget thingies that made stuff easier. And I could do the Google and Amazon thing. So I changed again.

But all the while, Wordpress kept getting cooler and cooler. Word counts, more themes, better feedback and forums, tags and categories. And, well, lots of love.

So last week I changed again. But this is it. I swear. I'm yours, Wordpress, for good. I'll never give up on you again.
